So today was a very interesting day. Our alarm clock was broken at the hotel so we woke up an hour late. This was not good, because Coach put me in charge of morning wake ups.  Last night at our meeting we all got our daily job assignments.  Everyone is expected to do their job and I didn’t do mine today.
We started riding 7:15. I stayed right behind coach for about 20 miles. I noticed that he was starting to get further and further away so I started pushing myself harder so I could catch up to him. After about a mile of that I blacked out when I was riding and the next thing I can remember is waking up with a horrible headache lying on the side of the road. Jas was right behind me and saw everything that happened. He called Amanda, who was in the truck, and they got there in about two minutes. Coach Thomsen cleaned up my knee and shoulder and then poured pickle over them. It actually hurt less than the disinfectant and my knee stopped bleeding almost immediately, but my shoulder and head really hurt.  Coach and I ate a couple pickles and we were all laughing.  I was happy cause when we loaded the bikes I knew I was done riding for the day.   They took me to the nearest hospital to be looked at just in case. I went through four or five different tests and had an I.V. needle in my arm for about two hours. I hate needles and this was extremely uncomfortable plus I almost blacked out when they put the IV in. After five hours they said I was free to go.  Apparently they said that I was low in salt, which is why they put a quart of sodium chloride in me.

I just want to say thanks to Marla the E.R. nurse in Eugene.  Besides being a very nice person she got really excited about our project and had coach bring in the bat and signature book. For the whole time I was there I could hear people coming down to learn about our project and sign the bat.  Marla helped us get over fifty signatures on the bat and in our book.

Our long bike ride today was cut short by my fall so we drove to Grants pass.  We got there around 5:30 or 6:00 and met up with Susan and the coaches sister. Tonight we were supposed to camp along the creek, but Yuto and I decided to sleep in the truck. That basically sums up my day.

We left Centralia at 7:30 in the morning. Coach got mad at me because I wasn’t ready to ride and so Chunda rode for the first four miles with coach. I was tired so I was going pretty slow and it didn't help any that I had to ride up a gigantic hill right off the bat. This was our first day of actually riding outside a city and I was impressed with myself because I stayed at the maximum 30 feet from Coach Thomsen. We reached Corvallis around 4:15. We got the Mayor's signature on one of the bats. I was interviewed by KIRO over the phone and I did a horrible job. It as my first over the phone interview and I kept on felling like I was being cut off.

we spent most of the day waiting for coach thomsen to get ready for the trip. I was interviewed by NWCN. We left the school around 2:00 p.m. We stopped in the heart of Tacoma at the Denny's so Coach could go home to get the Gigantic baseball bats because he forgot them at his house. I dont see how he missed the two 6 FT. BATS. We finally started riding at 7:00 p.m. and finshed at 8:05 p.m. So yeah that pretty much sums up everything for today.
